Kirin Laws - 9th Term - Final Revision

There's a fine line between Kirin duties and GM duties. Mostly, its the Kirins' job to keep law and order amongst the people of our server. The Kirin, also, acts as a second pair of eyes and ears for the GameMasters. This, in no way, gives he/she the powers and authority of a GM, but does, at times, mean the Kirin must enforce or help to uphold the Terms of Service that is provided to all users at sign up.

Below, are a couple of points of interest the Kirin has to pay close attention to. If you find yourself in violation of one of these rules you may, first be jailed and then reported to a GameMaster who has more authority, ability and over all knowledge pertaining to your violation.

Punishments may include, but are not limited too, a warning, brief jailing and/or Long term jailing. If the violation is a severe breach of Luminary's Terms of Service, you will subsequently be reported to a GameMaster at which time further punishments may ensue per the GameMasters' discretion.

Harassment: Harass, threaten or embarrass another User of the Services or to cause distress, unwanted attention or discomfort of such User, or any other person or entity. NDOORS does not condone harassment in any form and may suspend or terminate the account of any User who harasses others. Personal attacks, such as those based on a person's race, national origin, ethnicity, religion, gender, lifestyle choice, disablement or other such affiliation, are strictly prohibited.

Foul Language: Abusive or Lewd language is prohibited. By Definition all use of explicit slang, including, but not not limited too, the use of sexually suggestive comments and/or racially charged remarks. The definition of lewdness is to be determined by Minister Kirin and specific examples aren't listed here for obvious reasons.

Macro Hunting/Ad Macro: By Definition, a Terms of Service Violation. It will be the job of the Kirin and his judges to gather and report evidence pertaining to these crimes and ToS breaches. Temporary Jailing until a qualified GM can look over the evidence will be enforced, without prejudice and with just cause. Macro Hunting and Adding is defined by the use of a "third party" program to assist in gaming activities/messaging.

Disruptive Behavior: Engage in "disruptive behavior" in chat areas, game areas, bulletin boards, or any other area of the Services. Disruptive behavior shall be deemed to include, but will not be limited to, conduct which purposefully interferes with the normal flow of dialogue in a Service area. Disruptive behavior shall also include, but not be limited to, commercial postings, solicitations and advertisements.

Scam/Account Info Fishing: At no time should you ask or request another players personal information pertaining to their registration/login and or personal identifiers. If you intentionally mislead someone into giving you this information, you will be in violation of this rule. Also, misleading someone to attain their merchandise or game currency is strictly prohibited. This rule will be enforced with strict intentions and without prejudice.

Passwords: At the time your Account is opened, you must select a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and you are responsible for any harm resulting from your disclosure or allowing the disclosure of your password or from use by any person of your password to gain access to your Account and Account ID. At no time should you respond to an online request for a password. NDOORS will never ask for your password offline or online, except that you will be required to enter your password as part of the log-on process.

Post Office Box/Chat Spamming: At any given time a player who spams another player's post office box with repeat messages and/or unwanted items may be jailed if indisputable evidence is provided. In some cases, a warning may be issued, only. If behavior continues, all evidence will be pass to a qualified GameMaster for further action. Punishment is not limited to spammer, only. Any evidence showing an undeniable link between the spammer and a Mother Account, may mean jailing for both IGNs. The formentioned restrictions, also, apply to the use of repetitive phrasing in pub chat.

Regarding Subs/Ads: All the above laws pertain to subs, as well. If you disrupt, use explicit phrasing, personal attacks, racial slurs and/or sexually suggestive terminology, You will be punished as the Kirin seems fit. The general goal of the Kirin, in this situation, is to make the disruption cease. He/She should do what it takes to achieve that goal, not going beyond the bounds of biases and abuse of power.

Disrespect/Slander of Kirin/GoonZu/GM/Judge/Public Official: At no time will slander and/or disrespect that goes beyond the bounds of civil protest be aloud. If you disrespect The Kirin and/or a Judge when he/she is doing their job, you may be jailed for obstruction of justice and/or subsequently warned or jailed. This includes, but is not limited too, the use of subs, ads or general chat to express slanderous or unneccessary negative/abusive comments.

Egging: Using eggs for malicious conduct that may, in fact, cause another player to lose capital or disrupt his/her right to play freely is prohibited. The legality of egging inside inhabited towns is determined by the Town Chief of the Village/Town, in question, and/or the shareholders/owners of said town/village.

PShops: The Use of Pshops to intentionally mislead another player into purchasing one thing, while being made to believe it's another is a jailable offense. Overlapping another players PShop with an ad or another PShop is a violation of that players' right to have a PShop. If Player is afk, he/she will be moved a small distance away from the shop he/she is obstructing and warned via whisper. If behavior continues, or the violator refuses to comply to the rule in question, he/she will be jailed as the Kirin sees fit.

Essentially, all the above rules pertain to three things; Disrupting game play, cheating and/or ruining other people's time in game. Be aware that you are not the only one that plays this game and the way others, around you, are affected by your actions is your responsibility.

Be aware, any accusations made must be proven. Use the hot key process (ALT P) to screenshot proof of violated rules. In order to be fair and unbiased, its essential that screenshot proof is provided, this includes, but is not limited to, players, judges, officials and the Minister Kirin.
